Spring is here and probably some things are up in everyone's Victory Garden. Good luck to all of you and may the cut worms, slugs and bugs leave you alone this year.

The Liner Gripsholm arrived March 15 and as hoped, among the passengers were Kippy and Mrs. Tuck. A letter from Kippy written April 4 stated that he would write at length upon his return from Florida, where he is going for a much needed and well deserved rest, after fifteen months' internment in Germany. Our best wishes go with both for their stay in Florida.

Clarence Melendy is legal counsel for the American Bureau for Medical Aid to China. Dr. Frank L. Melendy is second vice-president of the board of directors and Dr. Harry E. Melendy is also on the board.

An error was made a couple o£ months ago in a name—the Jewett granddaughter in California is Penelope Ann Wright and not as given. The secretary hastens to make this correction before he is "sued for defamation."

Bill Appleyard is one of a group of five Vermonters who have purchased all the capital stock of United Maple Products, Inc. This transaction places in the hands of Vermont owners one of the leading firms in the field of production in which the state is best known nationally. Bill is one of the vice presidents, and the five constitute the company's board of directors. The United Maple Products firm will be operated in conjunction with Vermont Maple Orchards, Inc., which is owned by the same Vermont group. The two firms have extensive plans for co-operating with Vermont farmers in the production and marketing of the state's most distinctive native product.

Henry Merrill spent part of the winter with pneumonia, but now that spring is here he is back on Mayor Tobin's Boston Victory Garden Committee. Tubby is also spending a lot of time in Washington as he is a member of the Realtor Washington Committee of the National Association Real Estate Board. Young Nat goes to Dartmouth this summer as a freshman.

All have heard at least once from Johnny Remsen on the Alumni Fund. As we hope for 100% representation for the class this year, please dig deep now and again later before June 30. If everyone acts promptly we will come out on top.
