ALL ALUMNI AND FRIENDS of the Tuck School will wish to join in congratulating Dean Olsen on his election as President of the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business for the year 1944-45. This great honor is a fitting tribute in view of the active part he has taken for several years, especially the difficult war years, in the affairs of the Association. It includes fifty-four schools of business administration from the leading colleges and universities of the country. In addition to attending the meetings of the Association (April 27-29), Dean Olsen spoke to Dartmouth Alumni luncheon groups in Omaha and Chicago. On these occasions he was particularly pleased to meet a goodly number of Tuck Alumni who were naturally anxious to hear something directly from the School.
Beginning with the July-October term, most of the men in Tuck will be enrolled in the curriculum of the Supply Corps Candidates School. Only a few civilians and V-12 men with irregular programs will remain.
The Boston Clearing House meeting on May 10 proved to be one of the most worth while and enjoyable of the long series of such meetings over many years. Roscoe A. Hayes 'so, Manager, and John S. Sullivan '37, Secretary, are to be congratulated for their able job in making the meeting possible. After the dinner Dean Olsen spoke on the problems and plans of the Tuck School, and Professor J. L. McDonald spoke on the topic, "Foreign Trade and Post-War Stability." Both talks were exceedingly able, and set in motion a spirited discussion which continued on until last-train departures of necessity called a halt.
If we may judge by the new officers there need be no concern about the welfare of the Boston Chapter for the ensuing year. Edward R. Noyes '20 was elected Manager and Hans Paschen '28 was elected Secretary.
