THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Central Ohio renewed its Annual Spring Picnic with a gathering at C. S. G. Farm, on Friday afternoon and evening, June 22. President Al Chandler 'OB and his able Committee Chairman, Bill Webster '39, did a good job, including a fine map by the latter so that everyone arrived safely.

A new feature for us included wives, best girls, and children. The result was a turn-out of about 40 members and guests. Jim Andrews and Jack Crawford of '45, and guests, here on leave, were especially welcome. John Creighton '23 and family came over from Newark, but denied using Black Market gas.

The Softball game was hotly contested, mostly because Harlan Wilson '15, played on both teams, in an effort to get some extra times at bat. But Milo Clapp '25 finally led his team to a slight victory, despite the high-powered score-keeping (and playing) of Derrol Johnson '25.

We were glad to have on hand again Jim DeHaven '33, Bob Tucker '27 and wives. Ed Atkinson '28 and Florence trustingly brought their three lovely daughters and Ted Wilson '45 took the same risk with sister Dot.

After supper we had some slides from the College, with comments by Eric Vaughn '38, in his best Yankee accents. Adjournment was made by moonlight, without any casualties. The Committee divided the surplus food; and it was agreed to point for another such gathering, if the wives approve.
