Washington

HIGHLIGHT of the month of September was a Father-Son-Daughter party on the 27th at the new Gilbert Hall of Science in Washington. At this place, Dartmouth men and families were the guests of Oliver A. Quayle Jr., father of the writer. The show included a magic performance, Dartmouth football movies, an electric train demonstration and refreshments. Guest of honor was Clem Stralka, star guard of the Washington Redskins. A nice turnout of about 100 enjoyed this party. Brad Cole '43 and Vic Hartjens '28 served on the committee for this event, which was instigated by George M. Morris '11.

Another interesting happening was an announcement by President Hal Fitz '23 that on October 8 the weekly Tuesday luncheon date will now be held at the Blackstone Hotel; this is a change from our old standby —the Annapolis. There is no time change; 12:30 as usual.
