Time for our annual football prediction—we have a good chance of going 5 and 5. We're a youngtem and our weakness last year (two quarterbacks lost with broken hands) could be our strength this year. Brian Mann is back at quarterback and he is supported by five freshmen, including Dan Shula (son of our outstanding wide receiver) and a y oungsterwho lertered last season as third-team QB at the University of Wisconsin.

Don't forget our mini-reunion of September 27 and 28 with both dinners at the Hanover Inn and, we hope, early lunch Saturday morning at the Smoyer Lounge (can't get confirmation of the latter until two months before). The University of New Hampshire football game to follow.

Received a nice letter from Nick Xanthaky, who hopes to make our mini this fall—he hasn't been to one since 1993 and has missed the fellowship and fun that goes with it. With the help of two nephews and two nieces, who see him regularly, he is gradually adjusting to living alone.

Another sad note in our class history occurred on May 15, when Bob Engelman, a Dartmouth guy forever and certainly one of our most active classmates, passed away. To Mary, his wife of 64 years, and his devoted family, including four Dartmouth sons and two Dartmouth grandchildren, we send our deepest sympathy.
