Thought you might be interested in the whereabouts and activities of some of our returned Servicemen. Here goes—

Shirl Austin is back at his old stand with Parrish & Cos., Pittsburgh, after his naval service.

Donald Bartlett, who returned home from Truk in time for Christmas, plans to return to his professorship of Biography at Dartmouth and to get on with the writing of a book on General Wilmer.

Rollie Bates, who interrupted fifteen years of medical practice to serve with the Navy, has now reopened his office in Binghamton, N. Y. .... Frank Brady, discharged from the Army in December 1944, is now supervisor of auditing and procedure for the Virginia Electric and Power Cos., in Richmond.

After spending three years with the Army, mostly in the Caribbean area and South America, Joe Butler is back in Youngstown, devoting his time to the Butler Art Institute.

Floyd Butt served for three years in the Navy and is now special assistant to the sales manager of the Sun Oil Cos., in Philadelphia. .... Ash Castle served with the Navy and is now back at the University Club of Los Angeles as Executive Director Don Coyle is back with the New York Trust Cos.

Sib Dorset returned home from North Africa early in 1945 and is now branch manager of the Cincinnati Office of the Ohio Casualty Insurance Cos.

In August 1945 Bill Dußois made the switch from Army to civilian life and has rejoined the staff of the Chase National Bank as second vice president. Bob Ellinger, after three and one half, years service with the Army, has returned to his position as vice president with the Mayflower Doughnut Corporation.

Sam Ellis, who was called to active duty with the Navy before December 7th has now returned to his old desk at Haskins & Sells, N. Y. .... Mike Fitch joined the Army in May 1942 and our last report was that he plans to establish himself in civilian life as a literary agent while continuing his own writing career Fitz Fitzgerald, who returned to civilian life in November, is back at his former job with the Prudential Insurance Cos. of America in Newark.

Leo Fitipatrick is out of the service and getting settled in his new home at 541 Churchill Road in West Englewood, where he is continuing his medical career After his release from the Navy in 1944, Jim Franciscus went into the insurance business in St. Louis Am George has now resumed his medical practice in Haverhill, Mass., after three years service with the Medical Corps of the Army. AI Hadlock, now a civilian again, has returned to the law firm of Willkie, Owen, Otis, Farr and Gallagher Released from the Army in 1944, Bert Hallin is now manager of Montgomery Ward's store in McKeesport, Pa Jevne Haugan, now an Army veteran,

has his own real estate business in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Ed Howe served with the Army Air Forces and, back in civilian life, is dividing his time between his Long Island home and his cottage in Florida. Shortly after Pearl Harbor, DonHull joined the Medical Corps and served overseas for about three years, returning to this country in August 1945 to resume his medical practice in Ridgewood.

Stubby Jones is now enrolled as a graduate student at the University of California at Los Angeles and at the same time he's carrying on his former business connection.

Early in the war, Ed Jones entered the Merchant Marine Service, and now plans to operate his farm in Connecticut by proxy while he teaches tennis and looks into the housing construction situation in Palm Springs.

Mar Joslyn writes that he's loafing for a while in Los Angeles, after his release from the Air Forces and he plans to enter business in Dallas Bob Knott has moved to Eugene, Oregon, where he is practicing surgery following three years with the Army Medical Corps Larry Marshall served with the Marine Corps and has now resumed management of the Boston Office of Bankers Trust Cos.

Another medic returned to his private practice in New York City is Bob McCollom who served as Flight Surgeon with the ArmyAir Forces. When a medical discharge released Stub Reed from the Army in 1943 he returned to work with Western Electric, and as Engineer of Stores Methods he is doing considerable traveling around the country.

Schoon Schoonmaker, who was with the Seabees, is now general manager o£ the Ware Industries, Inc., in Ware, Mass.

The last word received from Ed Shnayerson, Captain in the Medical Corps, told us that he was planning to take refresher courses in branches of medicine in which he plans to specialize while practicing in Brooklyn Art Sprague, who served in Naval Aviation, was released to inactive duty in August 1945 and returned to his law practice in Chicago. .... Last month Ginny Voorhis returned to civilian life from three years service with the Corps of Engineers, and resumed management of G. T. Voorhis Cos., which operates in Pennsylvania and Delaware HarryWeaver served with the Navy Medical Corps, and resumed his private practice which was interrupted five years ago, in Philadelphia. .... Jim Wheaton, a veteran of the Army Air Corps, returned to work in late 1945 with the Telephone Cos., in Washington, D. C.

REUNION NEWS

Our postponed 20th Reunion will be held in Hanover July a 6, 27 and 28, along with the Classes of '23, '25 and '26. Thanks to our chairman, Kip Higley, who made an early trip to Hanover, excellent class arrangements have been made. See general information about reunions in the last issue. Bring your wife, for there will be events planned for her. Here's a chance to spend a very delightful weekend in Hanover.
