THE ROSTER of living Dartmouth alumni now stands at 22,732, according to the latest report of the Alumni Records Office. Of this grand total, 21,942 men are on the "active" list and receive all College mailings. The total is broken down into 14,151 living graduates of the College, 7,874 nongraduates, 263 Medical School alumni who did not attend the undergraduate college, 58 Tuck School men, 23 Thayer School men, 57 holders of advanced degrees, 72 special students, 129 recipients of honorary degrees, and 105 faculty members holding honorary degrees. The Alumni Records Office also lists 986 members of the new Dartmouth Navy Alumni Association, making 23,718 alumni in all.

Dr. Zeeb Gilman '63, who will be 105 years old on May 13, heads the list of Dartmouth's ten oldest living graduates, with a lead of almost seven years over the runner-up for this honor, Charles G. Johnson 71, who will be 98 on the Fourth'of july. The eight next oldest graduates and their birthdays are as follows: Theodore C. Hunt '76, November 14, 1849; Frank P. Shepard '75, September 28, 1850'; Hervey A. Tarbell '78, November 16, 1853; Charles C. Towle '75, December 21, 1853; Frank M. McCutcheon '76, February 11, 1855; Henry G. Peabody '76, April 27, 1855! William R. Tillotson '77, April 22, 1856; and John B. Lawrence '82, June 13, 1856. Besides these, there are fifteen others from the years of 1856-58 who receive honorable mention: five are 90 years old, six are 89, and four are 88.

Of the group comprising Dartmouth's ten oldest, five now live in California, three in New England, and two in the Middle West. But out of the total of the ten men, seven originally came from New England. Without too much evidence to
