WE RETURN TO NORMAL. Many of our members, former armed servicemen, are reestablishing their identity with the Eastern Pennsylvania organization. In addition, new faces have appeared. We welcome all, and hope with this tocsin to spur other transients to join with us.
Before passing on to the highlights of our last meeting on March 16, at the Wyomissing Club, Reading, Pa., let me extend best wishes to Bill Breitinger '37, now recuperating from local surgery, and to Dr. Joseph Wool '36 of New Haven, Conn., recently appointed resident physician at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Reading. (The last two facts are completely independent.)
It's rather simple to tie in our annual election of officers with our guest speaker of the evening, A 1 Dickerson '30, since the subtle accomplishments of '29 vs. '30 hinted towards lobbying. When the storm cleared the poll showed: President, Louis Ekstrom '12, Bethlehem; Vice President, Milton G. Shultz '30 Reading; Secretary-Treasurer, the writer.
Al Dickerson then gave us a concise, but well-rounded talk, on postwar Dartmouth stressing the current problems of babies, butternd buildings. It stirred us all and perhaps provoked a few changes in our orderly and disorderly reminiscences of undergraduate days. Withal we thank the College and Al for providing us with up-to-the-minute happenings in Hanover.
Those present at the dinner were; Al Dickerson '30, Valentine Klopp '09, John Moxon '29, James Rick '31, Milton G. Shultz '30, Andy Marshall '22, Charles Pyewell '34, Louis F. Ekstrom '12, Fred J. Koller '36, Bill Breitinger '37, and A. L. Krum '38. COMMENTS: Look for a gathering late in the summer.
