JUNE 1963 CHARLES R. CUSACK '43

Twenty-four Dartmouth alumni, wives, and guests celebrated the coming to Sacramento of Chub Feeney's '43 Giants by arranging for a block of seats at the Giants Cleveland game followed by dinner at the Sacramento Inn. Despite the raining out of the first half of the "club double bill" a good time was had by all. An unfortunate spring storm left the field unplayable and the game was cancelled, sending Feeney and the Giants to Salt Lake City earlier than otherwise scheduled which also removed Chub from our dinner guest list.

After cocktails and dinner, the 1962 season football pictures were shown. All present marveled at the depth and effectiveness of the Big Green attack and the ferocity of the defensive platoon as well and agreed they would have made an excellent showing against any of our coast teams. Our congratulations to Blackman for putting together this fine club.

Enjoying the festivities were: Andy Andresen '34, Lt. Paul Bragdon '58, Barlow Goff '53, Ed Klee '34, Col. Bob Loughry '39, Bob Van Slambrouck '39, Lt. Ken Johansen '60, Capt. Andy Turner '57, Lt. Walt Sosnowski '60, Chris McClellan '60, Charlie Cusack '43, Lou Clarke '49 (also claiming '50 and '53), and Jack Little '16 with wives and guests.
