Name Magazine Aide

THE APPOINTMENT OF James L. Farley as assistant to the director of the Dartmouth News Service and assistant editor of the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine was announced last month by Charles E. Widmayer, director of the News Service and editor of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.

Farley, a graduate of Dartmouth College with the class of 194 a, was recently retired to inactive duty after forty months of duty with the United States Naval Reserve, twenty months of which was in the Southwest Pacific area with the amphibious forces.

As an undergraduate, Farley was sports and associate editor of The Dartmouth, a member of Vigilantes and Green Key. His home is Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, and he prepared for Dartmouth at the Newman School in Lakewood, New Jersey.
