Western New York

THE Dartmouth Club of Western New York met at the Buffalo Club on April 18 for their annual meeting and election of officers. It was one of the most successful meetings enjoyed by the Club since the beginning of the war, due to the appearance of many returned veterans and new faces.

The highlight of the evening was our guest speaker, Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, who outlined the present status of the College. After Sid's informal talk, we all felt much closer to Dartmouth as we learned what had been taking place in Hanover for the past five years.

The following officers for 1946-47 were then selected by the nominating committee and unanimously elected by the association: President—Norman E. McGrath '30; Vice President —Theodore C. Flemming '34; Treasurer—Alfred A. Cooley '29; and Secretary—Edward N. Marlette '41.

The dinner and business meeting was followed by an enjoyable evening of informal gatherings amidst many rounds of scotch and soda.
