Let's lead off with a note to the wives. You are all full fledged members of the class of 1937, and in a great many cases, probably, handle all the family correspondence. Will you, therefore, put the secretary on your mailing list and enclose a snap shot of the family as well as a few notes on your doings and whereabouts to the above address The Rutland Daily Herald recently announced that Hartness Beardsley has been elected Clerk of the Jones and Lamson Company in Spring- field, Vermont. The writeup goes:

Beardsley has been with the Company continuously since 1938. He started by working in the machine shop, where he had also worked during summer vacations. For a year he was employed by the Hartford Special Machine Company, Hartford, Conn. At various stages of his advancement he has been appointed foreman in several departments, assistant to the general foreman in the maintenance department and chief store keeper. In addition to his new duties as Clerk, he will continue to carry out his responsibilities as Supervisor of Planning. He is a Director of the Company.

Phil Johnson has recently been elected President of the Chamber of Commerce ofFairbanks, Alaska..... Lem Bowen is nowStatistician for the Burroughs Adding Machine Company in Detroit. He is now living at755 Bedford Road, Grosse Pointe, Mich Claude Clark is pursuing the Practice of Lawin his home town of Malone, New York

Mel Estey is now Instructor at the Culver Military Academy Crawf Ferguson is an executive with the Victor Coffee Company. This brand of coffee is very popular in New England and, perhaps, is becoming better known is outside areas Dr. Bill Griffiths has accepted a position in the Department of Psychology at the University of Mississippi Roy Hatch's new job is Sales and Advertising Manager for Lincoln Motors in Birmingham, Ala Al Jacks' new, connection is with the Associated Press in Albany, N. Y.... MortKarp has formed his own Company, Karp's Inc., in Stamford, Conn. We are still looking for some further word from Mort in just what business he is engaged Dr. John Milne has reluctantly left Hanover and accepted a Research Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine Ad Parker has resumed the Practice of Law in Washington.

H Dave Rainey is now located in Wheeling, W. Va., as salesman for the Tappan Stove Company Giles St. Clair has become affiliated with the S. B. Pennick & Company in New York City and is living in Montclair, N. J.... Ken Steams is now Resident in Surgery at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence Don't pass through Vernon, Vt., without dropping in on Jack Williams and looking over a really modern farm John Wright is Supervisor of Production of the General Electric Company Plant in York, Pa George Zeiss is Fiscal Officer of the H. R. Gray Company, Lawrence, Ind..... Charley Gordon is in business for himself as an Exporter and Importer at 90 Broad Street, New York City Walt Porter is with the Worcester Film Company in Worcester, Mass., as a Photographer and Camera Man.... BobSquires has entered the Traffic Department of the Frederick H. Cone & Company in New York City. The Providence (Rhode Island) Journal had a write-up recently on Em Patterson. It seems Em and his brother, Milton, both went to Cranston High School and Dartmouth but ever since have been competitors in business. Em has been working as a Sales Representative for American Air Lines since leaving the Navy with the rank of lieutenant commander. His brother, it appears, has been with Pan American and has recently been made Traffic Manager of the Latin American Division Bill Ashe has gone with the National Credit Office, Inc., and can be located at 2 Park Ave., New York City. He is rather proud of his nice place in the country at Westport, Conn., R.F.D. No. 2 WillBrown is continuing with the McCloud River Lumber Co. in McCloud, Calif HerbButz is back in advertising with the Buchan Advertising Company in the Daily News Building, Chicago Dr. Henry Doremus has settled down in Towaco, N. J., at Rocky Ridge Farm Ed Eaton is going forward with the Stewart, Warner Corp., in Indianapolis "Heinie" Goetz is Master Minding at the M. G. M. Studios at Culver City. There is a fellow, that ought to be able to give us some real pictures to decorate these notes Art Hislop is with the Traffic Department of Pacific Tel & Tel at Palo Alto, Calif Frank Magel has gone with the Personal Loan Department of the Irving Trust Company, New York City Dud Meredith has settled in Sheffield, Ala., as a Cost Accountant with Reynolds Alloys Co.... Dr.Corb Moister is again in familiar territory at the Hitchcock Clinic in Hanover PatO'Sheel is Transportation Editor for Life Magazine.... Staf Reed is a Sales Engineer for the Western Electric Company in New York City Jack Sheffield has gone into advertising for himself in Rochester, New York. .... George Snyder advocates a return to the soil and is practicing what he preaches. He has a dairy farm in Amcramdale, New York Dr. Dick Thirlby is assistant Resident at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich..... Bob Maynard is Export Manager for the Os- good Company in Marion, Ohio GordonGraham has gone with the Foster, Wheeler Corp., at 165 Broadway, New York City..... Tom Veling is with the Dohn Fischer & Company in Buffalo, New York Hart Beardsley reports several more fellows are helping out on the details of the Tenth Reunion Round-up Bill Rotch is working on publicity.

Al Bryant is handling music and Bill Geraghty is handling the uniform arrangements. ....Art Ruggles and Hart have arranged a second general meeting of the Reunion Committee, which will have taken place by the time these notes are in print. Much careful thought and planning is going into this Reunion and it is urged every one make early plans to attend Dave Pearsall tells us a son, Dave Pearsall Jr., has shown up on the scene Hal Gordon is a party to the announcement of his engagement and forthcoming marriage to Eleanor Rafton of Andover, Mass. She prepared at Abbott Academy and graduated from Smith in 1945. She attended a Chicago University School of Social Service for one year. .... Hal and Eleanor expect to be married in February and live in Lynn. Prior to the war Hal has been several years with General Electric in Lynn doing procurement work. He reports the following accomplishments in three years in the Army: No glory, no decorations, just plenty of hard work and the usual amount of "gold bricking." He claims he fooled enough people to be promoted to Staff Sergeant before his discharge. He is now in training to be Manager of the Lynn Hardware Company Bill Fallon's new address is Weed Road, c/o Eskesen, New Canaan, Conn. Everybody should try to get a copy of the December hook and read the article by DaveCarrierer on Roily Bevan, Trainer of "Red" Blaik's football teams at Hanover during '37's four years at Dartmouth. It is well done and will ring a familiar bell with many. Let's all give heed to the flood of propaganda being poured out by Art Ruggles in the current dues campaign.
