The Annual Alumni-Undergraduate Christmas Holiday Luncheon will be held on Saturday noon, December 27, at a place to be arranged by a committee to be appointed by the president.
President Shanahan stated that while undergraduate financial assistance has not been requested much in the last few years because of the number of veterans receiving the benefits of the G. I. Bill of Rights, with the return to normalcy and the gradual disappearance of the veterans from the campus in the next few years, there will be a need for loan funds. In anticipation of this, letters will be sent out to the local alumni followed up with personal contact, soliciting gifts to the Undergraduate Revolving Loan Fund which this organization has contributed to over a number of years. The fund is used exclusively for Manchester boys needing financial assistance.
