IF THE DEADLINE for this column were a few days later we could tell you about the Dartmouth-Cornell get-together in Milwaukee on the day of the game. We plan to have a luncheon at the University Club and then listen to a direct wire report of the event. The sportsmanship of Cornell is well known, and we anticipate that they will take their loss like gentlemen!
The Dartmouth-Cornell encounter brings to mind that game of a few years ago after which the score was reversed. This is interesting history, and the press reports are worth reading. They are framed and hung on the wall at the Hanover Inn.
Bob Niss '40 felt that he was slipping when it came to loud ties, so in order to clear up any doubts as to his claim to fame he appeared at the Hotel Astor Monday noon luncheon with an electric bow tie, capable of being lit up like a Christmas tree. The waitress was rather startled, but the rest of us have learned to expect anything from Bob.
Undergraduates will be welcomed at the Monday noon luncheon on December 29. During the first or second week in February we will have a representative from the College here in Milwaukee. We can't tell you the exact date, and we don't know yet who the speaker will be, but if you have questions regarding admissions it is quite likely that you will get the answers at that time.
H. J. Colton '22 is a newcomer in Milwaukee. He is the advertising director of the Blatz Brewing Co.
