YES, this association is now among the ever increasing group of alumni who have met and heard from our new president, John Sloan Dickey. Let us add to the praise he has already received. He is eminently capable and informally delightful. His personal modesty and slightly shy manner do not successfully hide that embryo of greatness which a Dartmouth president inherits by virtue of his position. We believe that the appellative "Prexy" still sounds a little strange to his ears, as if he cannot really believe that it is he. But make no mistake, he is fully aware of the presidential responsibilities.

Dartmouth College alumni may be sure that President Dickey will continue to exert nation-wide influence as "Hoppy" has done, and that he will go "all out" to make Dartmouth men "leadership conscious."

Prexy's international outlook and grave concern over world problems will very likely strengthen the College's position that both its graduates and undergraduates must seek, and accept responsibility of leadership in community and world affairs. President Dickey brought out one of our

record crowds. Meeting at the University Club, 51 Dartmouth men from Milwaukee and out in the State greeted the President and Al Dickerson '30. Al, himself a headliner and quite at home among the Wisconsin alumni, made a few remarks including a Dorothy Parker definition which backfired.

Besides the honored guests, those who attended from out of town were: W. E. McEachram '28, James S. Eckels '41, Will A. Pitz '40, Manitowoc; Cliff Daniels '18, Stevens Point; Randall M. Snow '30 and Herb Osborne '13, Racine; and Robert W. Bliss '27, Janesville.

At a previous unreported meeting on March 2 the Club elected the following officers: Bill Minehan '31, president; B. W. Brown '28, vice president; Vaughn G. Berry '24, secretary; Loris V. Smith '39, treasurer. Several returned service men were welcomed at this meeting and spoke briefly of their war experiences.
