The holiday season having incurred since my last opus went forth in the mails, my mail bag has been unfilled of late and so you will all have to take what little I have to throw up at you, most of it older than the granite hills whence came our muscles and our brains.
First, to acknowledge Christmas greetings from Mike DeSherb, who gave a thumbnail account of his meanderings of the past year plus a sketch of what AVC has done in the same period; from Joe McCormick, from Oily Quayle and clan, and from George Sumner, now a Navy Doc at Kwajalein. George and his wife Audrey are well situated in a lovely cottage, two minutes from a lovely beach. All very lovely, I'd say. Ted Locke, a two-striper regular, is also at Kwajalein.
On the scene and in person was Jack Tobin, of whom I had a fleeting glimpse at Stowe, ski mecca for the East's distinguishing skiers. Tobe reports that all is well in N.Y.C. and that he is doing okay in the Merchandising Department of Gimbels. Bob (Livio) Smith, New Britain, Conn., schuseer, was a New Year's guest for some skiing. He's still hard at selling mill supplies and ducking inventories.
Along the organizational line I have nothing more to report in the way of Reunion news. Farl's letters should be started again by the time you get this and he undoubtedly will bring you up-to-date. Bill Housel has taken over Pennsylvania-Delaware activities and will activate such get-togethers as natives of those climes are interested in. Dale Bartholomew thus moves into command in Ohio. I admit that the local business and social schedule has been such that I have not done much stirring in class affairs since Thanksgiving. If skiing excursions into Vermont hills don't take too much time for the next six weeks I'll try to do better.
My only other letter of the month was a note from Faith Huck, wife of Art, reporting the arrival of their second daughter, Georganna, on November 19. Pamela, number one, arrived back in '43. Art and Faith are living in Enfield, Conn.
The News Service reports the following, which are good space fillers. The engagement of Judith Zahler of Smith and New York City to Charley Weinberg, back in November. The marriage of Ruth Wood of Smith and Richmond, Va., to Bill Thompson on November 16, Bill now with Haddock Engineers in California. The engagement of Karen Bausum of Verona, N. J., to Bill Holmes. Bill now with the Holmes Oil Cos. in Newark. The marriage of Joya Bovingdon of Washington to Art Cox on Thanksgiving Day. Art is with the State Department. And the engagement of Patricia Spore of the University of Michigan and Ponca City, Okla., to James Tompkins.
All of which now leaves me very much on my own.

Which is where I will leave off this time. The old stuff is getting low to the point where I can no longer be indifferent about it. So please, I beg and beseech of you, come through with some news.
And above all don't forget that this is the year that makes "5."
