FROM THE MOUNTAINS we send greetings to our brethren below. If you need buckin' up, if your lungs need clearin' out, if it's meetin' old friends you want—or just good CHOW 'n good CHATTER, come to noon luncheons at the D.A.C., Denver, LAST FRIDAY, EACH MONTH. Going strong now—at least 25 Indians (or cowboys) next sitting.

DEAN Neidlinger is comin' to town!! He will be our honored and most welcome guest at the Annual Meeting, March 11, 6 P.M., University Club, Denver. Save date—bring classmate.

January's been a big month for Dartmouth in the Rockies. Arapahoe Ski Basin at Loveland Pass has had its formal, auspicious opening with Larry Jump '36 and Dick Durrance '39 as the big bindings with plenty vorlage. They say: "Best snow—biggest slopes near Denver."

John Litchfield '39 and Percy Rideout '40 had the Governor's blessing when they opened up their new ski school at fabulous ASPEN-Sun Valley's competitor. Steve Bradley '39 is new Colorado U. ski coach.

Down at Colorado Springs the war whoops are still reverberating from the walls and the bars of the Broadmoor. Superlatives are lacking to describe the biggest and best PEERADE we've seen in many a moon. The Big Green split a 2-game hockey series with C. C. Limited space prevents us listing the 150 Dartmouths (includes wimmin—bless 'em!!) that made the trip. The plastic skate for the longest trip down, goes to John Loomis '15 of Cheyenne, Wyoming, though my spies report a "man from New Mexico" at the game. There follows a partial peerade list:

Orm Berglund, Don Campbell, Tom Campbell, Bill Condon, John Cunningham, Jack Gray, Ned Grant, Don Kinney, Hugh Lena, Harry Lewis, Mason Lewis, Fred Long, Dave Main, Sandy McCreery, John McDonough, Bob McLaughlin, John Nelson, Bob Peterson, Ken Perry, Neil Roberts, Shoup, Ed Small, Bill Spoor, Bill Temple, Eddie Toothaker, Bob Waterman, Norrie Williamson, and Gerry Wood.

NOTES: (1) Only coonskin coat was Jack Gray's '37 (shades of Webster Avenue). (2) The Band-aids of Dr. Bill Condon '29 were handy when skater Riley, was injured.

Bob More '13 (Secy.-Treas. of Scholarship Fund) drummed up a confab at the D.A.C. recently and 26 Denver high school seniors attended. Fred Long '11, Ev Parker '16, Tom Campbell '18, John Cunningham '18, Nevin Carson '23, Norrie Williamson '26, and Jack Gray '37 were on hand to explain the Why and How of Hanover. Highlights: (1) A fiery extempo talk by vacationing Dick Catron '50 (brother of Court '36) beginning: "Oh, you'll LOVE it!" and (2) Bob's movie run by Tom and Jack (really Tom, Dick and Harry). It was fine—only trouble, someone mislaid the sound track (or as explained later: too much concrete—not enough putsy, putsy). However -'twas the acid test for the prospective Nugget-goers-and they ad libbed perfectly.

Current officers of the Association are: Fred Long '11, President; Dud Smith '25, Vice-President; and Norrie Williamson '26, Secretary-Treasurer. Plenty gossip next time—Save March 11th and Remember: LAST FRIDAYS!
