Florence and Reunion Chairman RoyLewis closed their 1912 winter headquarters in Venice, Fla., and headed for Lebanon, N. H., by way of Randy Burns' home in White Plains on April 12. On April 16 Roy and Randy met with Dick Remsen and your Secretary at the Dartmouth Club in New York to review some of the details of our 50th Reunion this June.
The latest report indicates 83 classmates and 62 wives have signed up to be in Hanover June 8-9-10 and the last reply cards were sent out with Lyme Armes' copy of the Billboard, April 20. Please sign them quick and return to Roy Lewis.
From Gilmanton Iron Works Conrad E. Snow, Editor of the Dartmouth 1912 50th Anniversary Class Book, has advised that Doc O'Connor has undertaken the publishing of the book which will be available at the Reunion.
Acting for the Executive Committee of the Class, Vice-Chairman Dick Remsen notified Sidney C. Hayward, Secretary of the College, that Basil O'Connor has been designated to make the Commencement Speech for the 50th Reunion Class and had accepted.
Grace and Doc Burnham are back home after a brief stopover at 1912's winter head-quarters at the Kent Motel and with Jo andBen Adams in Venice, Fla., this March. They rounded out their month in the sun at Fort Myers, Bradenton, and Sarasota, Fla.
Sidney Clark was notified by the French Government in March that he had designated a Chevalier in the Order of Merite Toristique and that the ceremony for conferring this honor will be held in New York on his return from Athens, Greece.
The Billboard Headquarters has returned to Box 303, Northwood Center, N. H., with Lyme Armes' return to his summer address from Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Charlie and Mrs. Gately were driven out of their home at Rockaway Beach, Long Island, as a result of the freak ocean upheaval which struck the East Coast March 6 and have just been able to get back into it in late April after the rubble and sea water had receded enough to get the furnace back in operation.
