I am writing my notes this month from Rillito, Ariz., on a beautiful ranch (El Rancho Grande), owned and run by VernonF. West, 'O9. In the old days we had a song, "Every Day Will be Sunshine Bye and Bye" and that is the way it is here 17 miles northwest of Tuscon. Bluest of skies, continuous sunshine, glorious sunsets and cool nights. It is April and they have had one shower since January Ist. That is dry.

I traveled West from Florida by auto. I had looked over our class list to see if I could meet any classmates en route and had been surprised to find how many of us had settled in the East. In the far West I discovered that in California was Bradley at Maravia, Davis at Orland, Hartsharn at Altadena, Sanborn at Arcadia, McCaughern in San Francisco, Harrison in Portland, Oregon and Warner in Seattle. In the Midwest, Professor Lambert was in lowa City and Ben Riley in Detroit, with Phil Griffin and "Dip" Mandel in Chicago, Tad Merrill in Aurora, 111., and Wells in Evanston and Dr. Bob Smith in Akron, Ohio. So I have thus met no brother members but do hope we will have a lot of these Westerners back in June to tell us about their great country. It sure is an eye opener to me.

Vernon West tells me that they had a Dartmouth Dinner in Tuscon last November and assembled about twenty Dartmouth men form Southern Arizona. I have had the great pleasure of meeting Larry Griswold 'OB here in Tuscon. He is known as the "Sage from Batavia."

June is now a bit over a month away so write the Inn at Hanover and make arrangements to be with us at our 45th Reunion.

REUNION CHAIRMAN: George L. Dow '02 is in charge of arrangements for 1902's 45th in June.
