"Tad" Merrill we all remember pleasantly, although he only spent two years with us in Hanover. He writes me that he cherishes the memory, of Dartmouth and his classmates. After leaving Hanover he went to the University of Chicago, graduated in 1902, and from the Law School in 1904.
Since 1904 "Tad" has practiced law successfully in Aurora, 111. and has two daughters and four grandchildren. He says' his wife is civic minded and gives much time to work pro botio publico. We are glad to report Tad" in good health, enjoying his work and still liking and eating beans frequently. He got some real New England training in two years.
Frank Moore has worked hard through the war as head of the mathematics department at the Massachusetts State College at Amherst, and says he enjoyed it. He had one son in the Seabees. Frank sends me a notice of his marriage on November 1, 1945, to Mrs. Bertha E. Serex at the Episcopal Church in Northampton, Mass., and that they will make their home at 327 Lincoln Ave., Amherst, Mass. We Wish Frank great happiness in his second marriage. It was shortly after our 35th Reunion in 1937 that his first wife died.
I regret to learn in a hurried note from "Art" Chivers that "Art" Patrell is seriously ill.
