TWENTY-SIX Dartmouth men braved our only Waterbury blizzard of the year to attend an Annual Winter Meeting featuring our very favorite hockey coach. On Friday evening February 21, the above mentioned stalwarts gathered at the American Brass Association Country Club in Naugatuck, Conn., and chatted with Jerry, who discussed his team's impressive record, their problems and possibilities. A buffet dinner was enjoyed by the group and under the direction of HalBraman '21 and Ed Smith '32 tentative plans were drawn for the Annual State Meeting which will be held this year in Waterbury on Wednesday May 21.
On the following evening, February 22, some forty Dartmouth men and wives or girl friends joined the New Haven group in New Haven for cocktails and dinner. We have already assured the New Haven Secretary, KenGilchrist, that we enjoyed ourselves immensely and have hinted emphatically that we should like to see a repetition of the event every year. Together with the New Haven Club, we witnessed the Yale-Dartmouth Hockey Game and in spite of the loss, each and every person was highly impressed by the hockey team and its coach.
Tentative plans are being made to schedule a Spring Meeting in Waterbury for the Naugatuck Valley group during the month of April —but more of this in the next publication.
