This is your secretary's last Class Notes Column. At the present writing a Bulletin from the ALUMNI MAGAZINE indicates it is doubtful whether this will appear in print before Reunion. During Reunion so much information will be exchanged, that the usual Class Notes Column is pretty much made unnecessary at this time. Anticipating such a situation, we tried to get all the news we had into the May Column. Several things can be accomplished, nevertheless. For one, we are appending a list of those who expect to be present at Reunion. This should be useful to those who are planning to attend in case these notes are in your hand.s before Reunion. The latest up-to-the-minute Reunion Program is also appended for a similar reason.
Latest talk about the Alumni Fund.... Mort Berkowitz is laboring mightily to put 1937 at the top of the list as a contributing organization. The returns so far indicate he is being very successful. Whether we will continue to hold our gains over previous years, as a class, will depend on several things. Will the fellows who have given almost every year raise their contributions by whatever amount they feel able and send them in early? Will the smaller members, who have never given to the Alumni Fund, see now 10 years after graduation that there was a great deal to be gained by participation in this Alumni Fund Drive. The feeling of doing something for the worth-while effort the College represents is one that grows with giving year after year. It is never too late for a fellow who has been absorbed in other activities, to change his feelings on the subject of the Alumni Fund and join our regular class contributors. .... The Reunion Committee is doing a splendid job and advance indications show a well planned, well executed and well attended Reunion is in prospect. The Nominating Committee is preparing a new slate of officers for your consideration one month hence Therefore, at this time your secretary will take his leave. It has been a rewarding task with plenty of work and lots to show for that work. May the new secretary, whoever he is, have as enjoyable a time as I have had See you at Reunion.
