MORE THAN doubling the amount given in any previous drive at Dartmouth, the College Chest Fund for 1947 ended last month with a total of $7530 contributed by Dartmouth undergraduates. The recordbreaking total breaks down to an individual collection of $2.50 per man.

The purpose of the Fund, as in past years, is to substitute for many unrelated drives throughout the year one coordinated solicitation of the student body. From the money collected in this drive, funds will be allocated to the various philanthropic organizations which would otherwise have conducted separate fund campaigns.
