HIGHLIGHTED BY THE presence of President Dickey, the Dartmouth Club of Springfield enjoyed the finest meeting in years on May 7 at the Longmeadow Country Club.
Over one hundred were present at the dinner meeting presided over by our Club President, Dr. Ray Barrett '18. Ray welcomed other alumni groups from Pittsfield, Greenfield, Hartford, Holyoke, Orange, Turners Falls and Deerfield, and then introduced Wallace V. Camp, father of "Chic" Camp, assistant to the Dean. Wally, President of the Longmeadow Country Club, gave the group a word of welcome.
Following an excellent dinner, the Club exterded a welcome to Dr. Hulburt '84, our oldest alumnus. Then led ably by Mort Hull of Holyoke, the roof was raised by song. BillLeison was elected treasurer of the Springfield Club.
President Dickey endeared himself to all the alumni present by his excellent talk and his frank and easy personality. We know Dartmouth is in able hands and we were proud and pleased to have welcomed President Dickey to Western Massachusetts.
