PRESIDENT DICKEY has accepted an appointment by Secretary of State Marshall as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Foreign Service Institute of the Department of State. Established in March, 1947, the Foreign Service Institute provides training and instruction to officers and employees of the Foreign Service and the Department of State, and to other officers and employees of the federal government for whom instruction in the field of foreign relations is necessary. Members of the advisory committee are the Director General of the Foreign Service, two Senators, two Congressmen and six persons appointed by the Secretary of State.
