Mrs. Eugene D. Burbank suffered a broken wrist in a fall on October 14 which will necessitate its remaining in a cast for four weeks. Otherwise, she and her husband are in good health and enjoying their beautiful home in Sierra Madre, Calif. Incidentally, this mishap cancelled a dinner engagement with O'Brien at Greens Hotel, Pasadena.

Mrs. Venetia T. Doring (widow of RobinsonL. Doring) tells of her three children as follows: Walter Glendenning Doring spent three years in Army, Navy and Marine Service in the Pacific Area. Verne Elizabeth Doring graduated from Brenam Col. Conservatory in 1927, entered Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1931, spending 8 years as pupil assistant supervisor and instructor. When war came, she went with the Johns Hopkins unit to the Pacific, Asia, and Australia for 3 years. At present she is night supervisor at Warm Springs Foundation in Georgia. John Sherman Doring, born May 15, 1909, developed diabetes, was called into the Army after 15 years a diabetic, remained in the Army while very ill, was released in three months and spent some time at the Veterans War Hospital. Now he has a Doring Farm Implement Shop where he is assisted by Glen. Mrs. Doring writes she is not well with an arthritic back, but still drives her car.

A recent card from Kate Walker tells she is now in a very nice small family hotel, but does not write its location in Honolulu.

Under date of October 1, Doc Warren writes, "I am about the same as when I wrote before, not changing much from week to week; not so much pain, but enough to keep me from finding much joy in life up a while and then down."
