Since the Yankees seemed unlikely to cop the American League pennant our move to Chicago in July has put us next to a good candidate for the year's honors. As interest in horsehide changes to pigskin, however, we will have to figure out a way to conduct some business closer to the Big Green contests. Hope to catch at least one game and hope to see you there! Meanwhile, there's news to report at...
THE HITCHING POST
On April 25 Bob Misey married Miss Catherine Caroline Kastner in Hackensack, N. J. The bride attended the University of Miami and graduated from the Gardner School in New York. Bob is a member of the law firm of Erbstoeszer, Cleary and Zabel in Milwaukee.
Miss Dorothy Jean Bierman of Bloomfield, N. J., became the bride of Bob Kirby in Montclair on May 9. She is an alumna of the University of Vermont and is with Bell Telephone Labs in Murray Hill, while Bob works for Underwood Corp. in New York.
In Ardmore, Penna., on May 14 Dick Ziesing married Mrs. Carol Krause Hayward of Grosse Pointe, Mich. She graduated from Endicott J. C. and is a member of the Junior League of Philadelphia. They're living in Gladwyne and Dick operates out of nearby Miquon as a manufacturers' rep in paper products.
Our June bride for this report is the former Phyllis Emelyn Jones of Winchester, Mass., who spliced a nuptial knot with Clark Collins on June 22. Phyllis is a Colby Junior grad, and Clark flies for American Airlines. They're living in Concord.
RATTLE PRATTLE
Jay and Mary Buck had their second daughter last December 13 and call her Susan. Elder sister Julie was born May 31, 1957. Jay has a large desk in one of the larger Chicago banks, Northern Trust Co.
The entourage encamped at the Milwaukee home of Jim and Pat Laing includes Catherine Anne who is six-and-a-half, Kevin James a year younger, David Vincent coming up to four, and a 1957 Flag Day son John McKendrick. A fourth boy, Thomas Charles, appeared on March 1, 1959. Quite a clan!
Bryan William is the fifth son for the Tom Doxsees in Minoa, N. Y. Born on June 9, he tipped the scales at six pounds, eleven ounces. That makes enough for basketball, Tom - how about a hockey goalie?
On June 12 Ed and Marlene Tuck welcomed a girl, Barbara Lynn, who weighed seven pounds, two ounces.
Amid firecrackers and sky rockets, Jim and Ting Gilmore found James Junior who quite excited elder sister Susan, turned two in September. The date was July 4 for those who like specifics rather than nuances.
On July 15 a girl named Cynthia was the fourth addition to the family of Dan and Bev Olsen in Barrington, R. I. She weighed eight pounds and a couple of ounces.
In Evanston Hospital on a hot July 22 young Dirk Duncan Olin's arrival interrupted some pretty gin rummy. His dimensions were seven pounds, two ounces, and 21 inches. His elder brother Eric was three in May and alternates between hugs and half-Nelsons.
In Bronxville, N. Y., a daughter was born to Gene and Carol Ulrich, on July 26. The little lady bowed in just over the five-pound mark.
Most recent newcomer in the tepee was John Whitney Williams, a boy of strapping nine pounds, fourteen ounces, who arrived in the family of Whit and Pris Williams on August 19.

During the dog days information and news trickled in with sufficient volume to permit a lengthy discourse on the activities of myriad 1950 classmates. Hopefully the grapevine reports will multiply in the next few weeks as roommates recognize bald pates as familiar sights during football game reunions. Soon we'll begin to have some stories on the tantalizing treats envisioned for you who attend the tenth reunion in Hanover next June.
In the fields of advertising, sales, and merchandising, many men are shifting around to new posts and new affiliations. Frank Dickinson, for example, is New England sales manager for the Haynes Stellite Co. of Union Carbide and proud parent of three girls, Joy, Susan and Anne, and a lad named John. . .. Elsewhere in the Carbide set-up Wally Willett is sales manager for Linde Co. in Pittsburgh. . .. Don Ryan is a pill pusher for Pfizer in Portland, Me Bob Day has been transferred to the home base of Union Bag-Camp Paper Corp. in Savannah, also in sales.... Skip Fauver is a sales manager for Davidson Rubber Co. in Charleston, Mass.
Also selling in the paper business is ArnieOss who recently moved back to the Minneapolis area for Northwest Paper Co. from their GHQ in Cloquet, Minn. ... JohnnyWeber has been made manager of the Sears, Roebuck store in Columbus, Ind.... And Eddie Williams is an importer of china, crystal, and ceramics operating from Greenwich, Conn....Al Kerivan has been promoted to branch manager in Detroit for Owens-Cor-ning Fiberglas.
The end of April found Grant Keeler named advertising manager of Fels & Co. in Philadelphia.... Chairman of our reunion committee Joel Leavitt devotes spare time to his sideline duties as director of retail advertising for Sweet Life Foods in Springfield, Mass.... Bob Graham is in the martini and ulcer racket in Bean town.
Amongst the barristers, Bob Waterman has been elected a partner in the firm of Lane & Waterman in Davenport, 1a.... Not far away, Tom Cornwall is an attorney around Spencer, 1a.... On the West Coast Bud Mac Donald continues his practice and encounters such California cohorts as Gene Carver, ConnieBohuslav, and fellow lawyer Dave Bull. Bud sent along some clever Chinese cookie captions received in the dessert menu of the San Francisco area capital gifts campaign shindig.
Educational matters of note during recent months include an item about Per-Jan Ranhoff who spent six weeks in a special math course at Clark University. Per-Jan teaches tangents and triangles at Pomfret.... PeteBucklin has the distinction of being among the first three men selected as a Sloan Intern to spend a year at M.I.T. for further study in the field of biz admin. Pete and Weylene would have been very close neighbors to us in Evanston, but they say the doctoral fellowship deal would have been a great maneuver even without the extra incentive of avoiding evil influences.... Johnny and Joyce Moulton are back at the University of California and living in El Cerrito following a stint at Reed College.... Like John, Dave Luce is pursuing a career in philosophy and has moved from Fayetteville and a crusade versus the Faubus forces to a stimulating educational experience at the University of Minnesota. "Scat" says he regrets not being able to stav for a showdown.
Class Agent John "Swede" Swenson went to work for Booz, Allen, and Hamilton in the consulting and executive placement business about the first of August. Job-seekers take note! ... Chuck McCaleb is also with a management consultant operation in Sandwich, Ill., and carries the title of secretary-treasurer.
Felicitations to Jack Beatty made a veep at Ward Francis Co. in the city of the Golden Gate!

Richard T. Dale '50, Montclair, N. J., has been made Assistant to the Vice President of the Resistoflex Corp. of Roseland, N. J. He was formerly Personnel and Industrial Relations Manager, a position which he had held since 1951 and which is now being taken over by Edmund F. Hunt '51. Dale is President of Caldwell Rotary, a board member of the United Fund of West Essex, the Child Guidance Association of West Essex, and a member of the National Ski Patrol. As a member of the Ski Patrol, he has been active in organizing a campaign through all Rotary Clubs of the United States to sponsor the U.S. Olympic team.
