We're a month into the new year and two weeks into the term of a new President. Let us hope that both will offer us the security, peace, progress, and happiness that their predecessors so miserably failed to do.

Some of this column's news may be slightly out-of-date because we're clearing up our back records. But, I guess, it's better late than not at all.

The '67 family grew still larger last November 26, when Vincent Craig was born to the Frank Otas.

Marriage bells rang recently for BobPearsall and the former Susan Sheehan (Colby Jr. and UNH). Currently the newlyweds reside in Stratford, Vt., while John teaches at the Mountain School in Vershire.

Tim Pollak is in NYC working as an account executive trainee for the advertising agency of Doyle, Dane, and Bernbach.

Among the many with the armed forces are: Ensign Ted Preg, aboard the "USS Robert K. Huntington"; Ensign Dave Prestemon with the Coast Guard; Lieut. Charles Priest aboard the Navy's "USS Moale"; and BobSmith aboard the "USS Robert E. Lee."

Gary Atkins has been promoted to sergeant in the Air Force and is at the Randolph, Tex., A.F.B. Lieut. Jan DeAmicis is a photo officer at the Mt. Home, Idaho, AFB.

Among the many '67's teaching are TomRathfifth grade in Hartford, Conn., and Dave Bishopjunior high English in the Syracuse City schools.

Berry Ratliff is an IBM systems programmer in Boulder, Colo.

Dartmouth Med's second year class has quite a few '67's. Here is an incomplete list — some appearing for the first time, others repeating due to my faulty record keeping: Tom Kosasa, Bill MacCarty, Ken McConnochie, Bruce Noonan, Bruce Smith, DaveFrechette, and Bob Wise.

Several '67's have already received their Bachelor of Medical Science degree from Dartmouth Med and have moved elsewhere to take their third and fourth years. Stu Belkin, Ham Lokey, and Mike McLaughlin are at Harvard Med and Stanley Chang is at the new Mt. Sinai Medical Center in NYC.

After receiving his M.B.A. from Tuck last June, Fred Schauer entered Harvard Law. Howie Schulman took a similar path.

Bob Sherwin is with the Geography department at the University of Tucson as a graduate student.

Lee Sillin is working for the Surgical Research Department of the Children's Hospital in Boston, Mass.

Art Snyder is the manager of "Frisch's" restaurant in Fairborn, O.

Work as a legal assistant for the Community Legal Assistance Office in Cambridge. Mass., occupies most of Tom Steiner's time.

The Ford Motor Co. of Dearborn, Mich., employs Ed Baardsen as a scientific researcher. Also working for Ford, but in Newtonville, Mass., is Mickey Beard.

Tad Campion is also teaching school — as a seventh grade teacher in Harlem.

Instructor of English is Harlow Chandler's title at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

With his appointment to chairman of the English Department, Bob Corrigan has become part of the administration at the Gorham School district in New Hampshire.

Still in Hanover is Gary Erickson. He finished his B.E. at Thayer and is now working toward his Master's.

Richard Dennis is in his second year at Albany Medical College in Albany, N. Y. Also in medical school is Mike Evans - at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Several months ago we dropped in on an open house at Hugh Freund's apartment (bachelor pad?) on West 10th Street in NYC. Among the visiting dignitaries were DonKlein, John Steinle, and Tom Hambury. Hugh is coasting along in his second year at NYU Law School.

Karl Friberg is an engineer for Westinghouse at their Greenbelt, Md., office. NedGillette is a management trainee for International Paper in Glens Falls, N. Y.

Bogota, Colombia is Chuck Geislers base of operations while he serves in the Peace Corps.

Also with the Peace Corps is Tom Moore — in CES de Saa, Cameroun, Africa.

There are several present and future ministers in the class. Among the future ones are Jeff Halenza at Yale Divinity School and Bob Ervin at Harvard Divinity School.

Hale Kronenberg is at Columbia Law School and seems to be doing quite well if making law review is any indication.

Another teacher is Bill McSwain — teaching English at the Lake Region Union High School in Barton, Vt.

After a year in Greece, John Meek is now at the University of California Law School at Berkeley.

Bruce Mitchell is in NYC as a VISTA volunteer.

Grant Monahon is employed by Low and Matthews as a part-time patent searcher in Washington, D. C.

Over New Year's we saw Dave Coombs. Besides his work in Molecular Biology on the modification of T4 phage, he has been growing sideburns, wearing checked pants and "making the California scene."
