What with working as carpenter, mason and general laborer on the new addition at Headacres, together with a couple of business trips, there has been no time this past month for correspondence. The result seems to be that no one has written to us and hence, little news for this column.

The Harvard game brought several '27 visitors to Boston. They included the Ballantynes, who were guests of the Bartletts in Dedham, the Choukases, who visited with Phil and PalFowler in Boston, and the Kortluckes who spent the weekend with Don and Kay Gardner in Marblehead. Don threatened to take the whole crowd for a sail on Sunday, but unfortunately the weather was not propitious.

Last week we were in Detroit and talked briefly on the telephone with Art Lyman, who very kindly asked us out to his house. Unfortunately, however, business engagements made it impossible to get together with him. On the next trip we hope to do better.

A couple of weeks ago we attended a company convention at Poland Springs, Me. Our good friend Chuck Burwell, now general agent for the Aetna Life Insurance Company in Portland, Me., learned of our presence in the Republican state and telephoned a very kind invitation to visit the Burwell home in Freeport. Unfortunately we couldn't accept but took a rain check for the near future. Chuck was planning to spend the next weekend in Hanover at the Colgate game with the Hazeltons.

Had a phone call a couple of weeks ago from your hard working treasurer, Mr. Cummings. Although the dog had been in town for about three days, he waited until fifteen minutes before his train left to give us a ring.

That's all we seem to have for this month. Back to the salt mines.
