THE CAMPAIGN to raise funds to finance the Ernest Martin Hopkins Center and the addition to Wilder physics laboratories has reached the 11,500,000 mark. The latest progress report on the Hopkins Center Project was made by Lowell Thomas, chairman of the Parents Committee, on a nationwide broadcast originating in Hanover February 12. President Dickey took part in the program, being interviewed by Mr. Thomas on both the Hopkins Center Project and the Great Issues course.
According to Robert K. Hage '35, executive secretary o£ the Hopkins Center Project, the total raised includes $1,227,000 on hand last July 1, which represented chiefly the gifts of Dartmouth men to the Alumni Fund during the war years. Most of the contributions received since July 1 have come from the small group of alumni who are being approached for capital gifts through the Special Alumni Gifts Committee headed by Sigurd S. Larmon '14.
The 64 regional committeles are now beginning non-alumni solicitation.
