THE PROCESS OF filing nominations to fill coming vacancies on the Alumni Council has been completed. Alumni clubs are empowered to submit nominations for membership from their areas. Of the nine District terms expiring June 30 the names of seven present Councillors who are eligible for reelection have been submitted without contest. Two new members have been chosen to fill the remaining vacancies.
Service on the Council for District members is limited to two successive terms of two years each. The following were declared elected by Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the General Association of Alumni, when nominations closed March 10:
DISTRICT I: H. Clifford Bean '16 of Boston is reelected for a second term beginning July 1.
DISTRICT II; H. Sheridan Baketel Jr. '20 of Philadelphia will continue for a second term of two years.
DISTRICT III: To fill the vacancy caused by expiration of the second term of Eugene Hotchkiss '22 of Chicago, the alumni asso- ciation there nominated Justin A. Stanley '33, Chicago, and he will begin his first term of two years July 1.
DISTRICT IV: Frank T. Frey '38 of Milwaukee is reelected for a second term.
DISTRICT V: Charles F. Weston '18 of Hopewell, Va., was not eligible for further membership on the Council because of completion of his second term. Alumni clubs in the southern states nominated George V. Parkhurst '30 of Baltimore who will begin his first term this summer.
DISTRICT VI: Boyd Rogers '35, St. Louis, is reelected for a second term.
DISTRICT VII: Two members of the Council from the western states will complete their first terms June 30 and they are both reelected without contest—William W. Washburn '14 of San Francisco, and James W. Hodson '29 of Seattle.
