Asst. Athletic Director

EDWARD T. CHAMBERLAIN JR. '36 has been named Assistant Director of Athletics, starting next fall, it was announced at the class officers' meeting last month by William H. McCarter '19, Director of Athletics.

Mr. Chamberlain has been Assistant Director of Admissions since December, 1945. He joined the College administration in July, 1936 as Assistant to the Dean of Freshmen and also served as assistant football coach until December, 1940. During the war he was a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve, serving in the Caribbean and Pacific areas.

A successor to Mr. Chamberlain in the Admissions Office will be named before he leaves to take up his new athletic duties.
