THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of China met for tiffin at the American Club, Shanghai, at 12:30, April 8, 1948. Those present were as follows:

Plans were discussed for a meeting in May chiefly for the purpose of welcoming to Shanghai Doug Storer '21 and Bob Ripley ("Believe it or Not"), who are coming out for a visit. Pending further information and confirmation from Doug Storer and Bob Ripley, L. K. Little invited the group for a buffet dinner at his house at 1901 Avenue Joffre for the evening of May 3.

Since there apparently had never been a formal organization of a Dartmouth Club in China, the club was formally organized at this meeting and the senior alumnus, L. Y. Ho was elected president and Charles P. Gilson, secretary and treasurer. After discussion, it was decided to use the title, "Dartmouth Club of China."

Prior to the formal formation of the Dartmouth Club of China, L. K. Little and L. Y. Ho have always kept contact with any local Dartmouth men for many years past and on various occasions have gotten them together.
