ON THE EVENING of April 27, the second meeting of the embryonic Nashoba Dartmouth Club was held at the Bull Run Club in Shirley, Mass. R. C. Barnfather '25 acted as chairman for the occasion and introduced Bill Smart 'O7, executive director of the Boston Alumni Club, who gave us valuable hints as to the organization problems involved in our growing pains as well as some pleasant Dartmouth reminiscences.

The main speaker of the evening was Jack Ingersoll, football hero of former years, now in business in Boston, whose inspiring talk was warmly applauded. Jack doubled at the piano and the acting secretary, a refugee from one of Don Cobleigh's Glee Clubs of 10 years ago, led the crowd in "Eleazar Wheelock" and "Men of Dartmouth." Everybody remembered the words, although I am sure it was the first time in many years for some of us. A summary of the events leading to the formation of the Nashoba Club was given by Ralph Sawyer '17, and Chairman Barnfather was successful in eliciting many helpful suggestions and comments from the floor as to future plans.

Bob Gray, Supt. of the Industrial School for Boys at Shirley, accepted the nomination as chairman and is marshalling his forces around Willard Smith '27 of Concord, Tom Sawyer '25 of Fitchburg, and Hank Frechette '41 of Lunenburg. Under this able leadership, we are all convinced that the club really will survive and take its place as one of the most active and loyal Dartmouth Alumni groups in this area.
