Bill Kennedy is Claim Superintendent with the Peerless Insurance Company in West Swanzey, N. H. In this capacity Bill continues a career in the life insurance business which he began in 1948 in the Claims Department of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was later a legal clerk with the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company and has been with Peerless since 1953, first as Claims Examiner, later as Assistant Counsel. Previous to his present position, he was head of the Fire Loss Department. LloydKing is a member of the Research staff with Nortronics in Hawthorne, Calif. He has pursued a varied career since first performing research work at the Naval Ordnance Test Station in 1947 after graduation from Dartmouth. After completing graduate studies in physics at U.C.L.A. in 1951, he joined Sperry Gyroscope Company as an Assistant Project Engineer working with data reduction.
Arny Weber is completely occupied these days with the laundry and shopping problems of Mrs. Homemaker. He is president of Registered Shirt Laundry Association, Inc., New York City, a firm which supplies men's shirts for sale only in retail laundries and dry-cleaning stores. The firm guarantees each shirt for one year if it is laundered only at the place of purchase. Arny established the business a year ago and is already servicing nearly 2,000 laundries in the United States. As eighty per cent of men's shirts are purchased by women, he is directing his retail program at the housewives of the nation. It is interesting to note that his association with textiles and laundries began in his early teens and was developed further while in College.
Odd Ramsey is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Oslo at Blommenholm. Upon graduation from Dartmouth, Odd was associated with the Psychological Corporation in New York City. He returned to Norway in 1948 to do marketing research and later to become a Research Assistant at the Institute of Sociology in Oslo in 1958. Bill Chisholm is living in Exeter, N. H., and is possibly a neighbor of Ed Roundy's. DaveMcBean is now living in Putney, Vt. Upon graduation from Dartmouth in 1947, Dave joined Western Electric Company, Inc., as a management trainee. He was later associated with the Purchasing Department of National Distillers Chemical Company in 1951. We are interested to know what brings Dave to Vermont.
Dr. George Woodward is now living in Hingham, Mass. Wade Barnes has recently moved to Needham, Mass. We presume Wade is continuing his association with Charles T. Main, Inc. Sherm Gleason continues with the Home Life Insurance Company in Newark, N. J. Dana Gumb is now living in Mary Esther, Fla. Dana is an Electronics Engineer who has worked with Hazeltine Electronics Corporation and Melpar, Inc. Dana was a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1949. He was graduated with a B.S. degree in 1946 from Bucknell University and worked at the Norfolk Navy Yard before continuing his studies in Georgia.

An interesting letter from John Tower in Anchorage, Alaska, tells of life as a pediatrician. John and wife, Betsy, are enjoying their sixth year in Anchorage. Although they find the baby doctor business hectic, they have time to enjoy outdoor life. John's November letter tells of going skating for the first time this season, and anticipating the opening of the skiing season very shortly. John mentions adventurous duck and moose hunting. He also tells of a local Dartmouth gathering at his home in October where almost a dozen Dartmouth friends enjoyed the pleasures of good cheer and fellowship.
Marvin Midgette is Assistant Publisher of the Valley News in Lebanon, N. H. Marvin joined the News staff in September, 1952, as a reporter covering Lebanon. In November, 1954, he advanced to the position of Sports Editor where his columns quickly became one of the best-read features. In 1956, he was named News Editor, moving up to the position of Managing Editor in the following Spring. The Midgettes have one daughter, Marianne, eleven.
Bob Foote, Supervisor of Tunnel and Bridge Research for the Port of New York Authority, continues on the speaking circuit in the New York City area. Bob has been with the Port Authorities since 1949. JimCunningham has been appointed Special Agent for the Phoenix of Hartford Insurance Companies in North Carolina. He has had previous experience as a local agent and as a casualty and bonding Special Agent in Virginia. Joe Marsh, President of Concord College in Athens, W. Va., was elected the new president of the West Virginia Council of State College and University Presidents for the 1960-61 year. This council serves as a coordinating group for the state supported higher education, and matters affecting the eleven member institutes of higher learning. The council makes policy recommendations, and is active in presenting the budget re- quests of the member institutes to the state legislature.
