A SALUTE to Will F. Nicholson '22, Denver broker, insurance, and now real estate executive, on his new appointment as Brigadier General in the Air Force Reserve. The nomination was made by President Truman on the recommendation of Air Secretary Symington. Will, who was the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in the last election, held the rank of full Colonel in the reserve. During the war he served as Colonel and Deputy Commander of the Atlantic overseas air service.

A WFLCOME to Bill Spinney '41 on his move from Milwaukee to Denver, where he is now in the advertising department of the Telephone Company. Also to Mort McGinley '41, formerly of Baltimore, now a freshman at Denver University Law School.

A LOVING CUP to Ned Grant '30, if as rumored, his fifth child, a daughter, was born in September.

Chairman of Entertainment Ed ("let me do it") Small reported on the Fall Program, to be monthly luncheons on the last Friday of the month, 12:15 noon at the D.A.C. unless superseded by special event luncheons or Saturday football wire luncheons. An undergraduate luncheon and squaw cocktail partyare also planned during the Christmas vacation. Listen for the Bellringers or check the Secretary for definite dates.

Admissions Committee Chairman Don ("gotta get him for Dartmouth") McKinlay discussed numerous Admissions Committee problems. Judging from the fine '53 Colorado delegation he should know the answers.

Then with the softening process well in effect Treasurer Orm ("balance the budget") Birkland stated the need for increased dues in view of the increased size and activities of the organization. Inasmuch as the Republicans outnumbered the Democrats in attendance, the Finance Committee's suggestions to balance the budget were passed.
