The class of 1924 has a superb capacity for hiding its light under a bushel basket On the Dartmouth Travel Bureau Baltic cruise, we, Betty and Ed Winsor, were the only representatives of our generation. This didn't interfere at all with our having a. wonderful time and led to the conclusion stated above.
Included in the trip were two very nice couples, retired and living in Hanover despite any prior Dartmouth connections. Their initial attitude was that they had never heard of anyone before from the class and wondered if we were the only survivors. Upon being advised that the Chinee Aliens, the Robin Robinsons, and Don Bartlett were all members of our class, they entered into such paeans of praise that we immediately were suffused with reflected honor. Robin's contribution to the community through his current broadcasts as well as through his mathematical genius taken together with their admiration for Margaret, Chinee, and Don really gave a demonstration of the strength of our Hanover contingent.
We must have strong delegations elsewhere; if we could only hear from them, we would be glad to pass the information on to the rest of you.
I note from Chinee's report that Margaret is recovering nicely from an eye implant, but the progress may be slow.
The only other news we have, except for too many obituaries to write, is that Warren Hollis is still in "clover."
