His novel "Debris" appeared two years ago.

Pete Patterson, a light colonel in the Medical Corps, is presently attending the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, bringing his expert knowledge of pediatrics to bear on the complexities of modern warfare. This, Pete reports, is not a simple process, but he is enthusiastic about (a) the quality of the staff training and (b) the calibre of professional army officer. Pete, wife Connie, and four daughters (that's a lot of pediatrics, right there) are living on the post at 7 Buckner.

Hank Fry, regional sales manager for Armstrong Cork in Houston, says he spends a fair number of his weekends taking fish and crabs out of the Gulf, having cut back on golf because the rules make no provision for four-digit scores and karate (3rd degree brown belt) because of a broken back 37 years ago. Bill and Caryl Hutchens have forsaken the glories of Nassau County and the Long Island Railroad in opting for Fayetteville, N. Y., as Bill has recently transferred from the New York to Syracuse office of Price Waterhouse & Co., major international public accounts. Doctor Bill Loomis has moved one mile vertically and quite a few more southwestward in shifting self, wife and five children from Denver to Newport Beach, Calif. Bill is director of the North Orange County Child Guidance Clinic in Fullerton and also does private practice in child psychiatry. He was formerly director of psychiatry at Denver Children's Hospital.

Phil Metzidakis has become associate professor of Spanish at Swarthmore College, having previously been chairman of the foreign language department at Mills College and prior to that an instructor at Yale. Phil has written one book, to be published in Mexico this winter, and edited another, recently published by Prentice-Hall. Both books are in Spanish.

Gardner Brookings has become assistant professor of mechanical technology at Erie County Technical Institute in Buffalo. After Thayer School, Gardner served in the Navy's Civil Engineering Corps and more recently at the Linde Division of Union Carbide Corporation. Gardner's address is 763 Bird Ave., Buffalo.

John Amerman has been named vice president-advertising and product management in the consumer products group of Warner-Lambert Pharmaceutical Co. Prior to joining Warner-Lambert in 1965 as product manager, John was associated with Colgate-Palmolive Co. for several years. He, his wife and two children live in Chester, N. J.

Warren Cole, general sales manager of Recordak of Canada, Ltd., an Eastman Kodak subsidiary, has recently been elected assistant vice president. He now lives at 55 Wynford Heights Crescent, Don Mills, Ontario.

Bill Gilges has been promoted to marketing manager of the Milwaukee office of International Business Machines Corporation. Bill joined IBM in 1957 as a marketing training instructor in Poughkeepsie. Bill resides with his wife and child at 2125 Elm Tree Road in Elm Grove, Wis.
