Pete Patterson, a light colonel in the Medical Corps, is presently attending the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, bringing his expert knowledge of pediatrics to bear on the complexities of modern warfare. This, Pete reports, is not a simple process, but he is enthusiastic about (a) the quality of the staff training and (b) the calibre of professional army officer. Doctor Bill Loomis has moved one mile vertically and quite a few more southwestward in shifting self, wife and five children from Denver to Newport Beach, Calif. Bill is director of the North Orange County Child Guidance Clinic in Fullerton and also does private practice in child psychiatry. He was formerly director of psychiatry at Denver Children's Hospital.
Phil Metzidakis has become associate professor of Spanish at Swarthmore College, having previously been chairman of the foreign language department at Mills College and prior to that an instructor at Yale. Phil has written one book, to be published in Mexico this winter, and edited another, recently published by Prentice-Hall. Both books are in Spanish.
Gardner Brookings has become assistant professor of mechanical technology at Erie County Technical Institute in Buffalo. John Amerman has been named vice president-advertising and product management in the consumer products group of Warner-Lambert Pharmaceutical Co.
