DARTMOUTH MENLUNCHEON EVERY MONDAY NOONUNIVERSITY CLUB, CHICAGO

The fall season has been sparked by movies at our Monday luncheon of the highlights of the previous week's Dartmouth football game. Praise for this original idea goes to our prexy Tige Lyon '25 who worked out the details with Athletic Director Bill McCarter, Eastman Kodak, Eastern Airlines, the U.N. and a few others, including Connor Shaw '43 who, with a projector (courtesy of Marshall Field & Cos.), can show the films backwards, upside down or with reverse English.

There were over 40 of the Big Green (ex) lads to see the Harvard game in addition to a few sheepish looking Harvards who looked only when the reel was running backwards.

The football season reaches a climax on November J 2 when we gather at the Chicago Yacht Club with our Cornell brethren of bygone years to hear a "broadcast" of the Big Green-Big Red game originating on Station WGR, Buffalo. After tireless efforts on the part of our entertainment chairman, DickBabcock '40, this program (through arrangements with A.T. & T. and, the sponsor, At- lantic Refining Cos.) will reach us, as well as the Dayton and Indianapolis clubs. Our wives will be along and we shall dine and drink a toast or two ere the champion of the Ivy League is crowned.

The Dartmouth Chapter of the legal fraternity will be well represented in the Chicago Bar Association's annual farce Christmas Spirits to be presented December 2 to 6 at the Terrace Casino. Frank Wright '36 is among the vocalists, while Bill Stead '38, Bob McClory '30 and Bud Kinne '27 are in the dancing chorus.

We have noticed Carly Blunt's ('26) name and picture in the press as volunteer head of the Chicago Community fund. Ken Henderson '16 came in for a blurb the other day upon the occasion of his 30th year with Ditto, Inc., of which he is now president.

We are planning to entertain the undergrads at a luncheon in the Georgian Room of Carson, Pirie, Scott & Cos., Friday noon, December 30. Sid Hayward advises that the inimitable and beloved Ross McKenney, Dartmouth's expert on woods lore, will be our guest from Hanover.
