LUNCHEON EVERY MONDAY NOONUNIVERSITY CLUB, CHICAGO

We sent the new recruits off to Hanover with a rousing big and stimulating luncheon last September 13th. Our Prexy Bob Critchell '33 was the M. C. and the keynoter was Alumni Councillor Justin Stanley, also '33, who oozed with the Dartmouth Spirit—but good. Scholarship winner Tom Schanek '52 spoke tor his class and surprised us with his talent for forensics which was not even considered in grading him for the scholarship.

Dartmouth father and son combinations who attended included Warren Fellingham '26 and son John '52, Frank Corbin '20 and son Frank '51, Bill Embree '21 and son Bill '50, Karl King '25 and son David '51, RalphHinners 22 and sons George '49 and Ralph Jr. '45, and Gene Hotchkiss '22 and sons Gene 3rd '50 and Jim '50.

J. C. Bingham '18 of Concord, N. H. was also there. In tact Jake has attended several of our luncheons while he has been out here as representative of the Boston & Maine Railroad at the Railway Fair.

And who else should pop up recently but Bed Williams '27, former Chicago attorney and more recently a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps. After his varied war duties Bed returned to lowa where he became a farmer. It wasn't until last month that he got around to being admitted to the lowa Bar.

Dick Babcock '40 and Dick Montgomery '35 have been appointed to fill vacancies on our executive committee to replace Frank Wardwell '34 who has moved away and JustinStanley '33 who has been elevated to the office of Alumni Councillor.

The same Dick Montgomery '35 is also going to get out our next issue of Dartmouthin Chicago. All be needs is the news to put in it.

Dartmouth Night (October 15) is to be celebrated at a cocktail party at the University Club. Lyn Shollenberger '33 is in charge. Look for a report on this event next month.
