At the annual Chicago dinner of Alumni Fund agents on March 29 the James B. Reynolds Trophy for the best class agent among classes more than twenty years out of college was awarded to Roger C. Wilde '21 for his achievement during the 1948 campaign. The citation accompanying the award was as follows:
The James B. Reynolds Trophy is symbolic of extraordinary achievement by the agent of a class more than twenty years out of College. For the year 1948 the Alumni Fund Committee awards this trophy to a man whose record for improvement and achievement typifies the best traditions of the Alumni Fund. In two years of service he achieved a Participation Index above 90 and increased the gifts by his class from $8,000 to $11,000, exceeding his objective by 18%. Furthermore, he won his first Green Derby last year against some of the outstanding Alumni Fund classes. These outward marks of achievement reflect the skill, understanding and devoted effort which this man has contributed to the College. He has been willing at all times to serve the Fund beyond the area of his own class responsibility, and by his ideas and example has contributed materially to the Fund's success. In recognition of this the Committee presents a copy of Richardson's History of Dartmouth College to ROGER CONANT WILDE '21 as a token of the Reynolds Trophy award.
