California's Gold Rush Centennial Year, which is the Decennial of the DARTMOUTH OUTING CLUB of NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, promises to be a notable one for the Club. We started auspiciously with more paid-up members at the date of the Annual Meeting than ever before, with no outstanding financial obligations, and a balance in the Treasury sufficient to take care of those immediately in prospect.
Following the election, which this year was by mail ballot, the Board of Directors was organized as follows: Carl Ward '32, President, Bob Allen '33, Vice-President, Wins orWilkinson '10, Secretary-Treasurer, and Baxter Ball '31 and Jim Wilbee '42 members of the Board. Alan Grant '43 has been appointed Chairman of the Membership Committee and Jim Wilbee '42, Chairman of Building Operations.
Members of the Club, with their gals, are invited by Dave Bender '31 and Helen, to a Party to be held late in the spring at their hilltop ranch near Los Gatos. Those who attended the picnic at the same place last year are not going to need much urging to go to this one.
We expect bigger, if not better, work parties at Conner this year to carry on the building construction which was started last year, and are looking forward to the week-ends when some of our five members living in Nevada will join us at Donner.
Newcomers in the Dartmouth family in this area, who are interested in outdoor activities locally and in the not-too-distant Sierra Nevada, will find a warm welcome in the Club.
