Alumni Offices to Move
June 1949

IN ORDER to provide more space for the alumni offices of the College, now housed in cramped quarters on the third floor of the Administration Building, Crosby Hall will be converted this summer from a dormitory to an office building. To compensate for the loss of dormitory rooms in Crosby, the two upper floors of College Hall will be reopened for occupancy in the fall. Headquarters of the NROTC Unit, now on the second floor of College Hall, will also be moved to Crosby. For some years the top floor of the Ad- ministration Building has been inadequate for the operations of the Alumni Records Office, the Alumni Fund, the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and the News Service. Further growth of, the Alumni Records and the development of other alumni activities have made it imperative that increased space be provided. With no immediate prospect that the Administration Building itself could be enlarged, the decision was made to transfer these four administrative activities to Crosby Hall next door to the present administrative offices.
