Within the wider family: Mrs. Curly Bartlett has moved from her long residence at Longwood Towers in Brookline, to 701 Brent Ave., Pasadena, Calif, to make a permanent residence with her sister. Mrs. Billy Mann and Mrs. Pearl Gifford were on the sick list during the summer, but both are reported better now. Mrs. Gifford expects to spend the winter again at the Hotel Vendome in Boston. Mrs. Matt Jones has been enjoying her usual autumnal visit to the old family haunts in Waitsfield, Vt., but was expecting to return in time for the Matt Jones Fall Roundup in late October.

The Secretary had the good fortune to hear the hearty voice of Paul Jenks over the telephone when he was in New York recently. It is hoped that this is preliminary to a real visit with Paul and his family when the Secretary goes to New York in the near future again. Paul had a setback late last spring which prevented the Jenks family from making their usual sojourn in Whitefield, N. H., last summer. However, if voice is a good indication, Paul is decidedly on the mend again.

Word has been received by the Alumni Records office of the death of Lyman S. Brock which took place January 21, 1950, in Springfield, Mass. It will be remembered that Lyman Brock came down with the St. Johnsbury Academy delegation our Freshman fall, but did not return after Freshman year. During his one year in college he roomed with MattJones.

During the summer Jim McGroty joined the considerable number of '94 men who first and last have spent some time on an operation table. A visit with Jim several days ago showed that he had not come through too badly, being clothed and decidedly in his right mind. At the time the Secretary saw him he was in a nursing home in Reading, Mass., but was scheduled to leave the next day for his long-time address in Dover, N. H., at 15 Orchard Street. Being in Dover, Mr. andMrs. Dwight Hall will undoubtedly become his "tutelary divinities."

Secretary, REV. 74 Kirkland St., Cambridge 38, Mass. Treasurer, 60 Maple St., Somersworth, N. H.
