Frank Ettari reports that Jack and MonaSayers enjoyed a few rainy vacation days in August at Reg and Nancy Pierce's lodge. Frank also indicated the perennial struggle with his golf handicap, a frustration shared by a great many of us each year!

The Jim Shute family seems to be thriving, with Jim, an ex-steel business retiree, back in the harness with the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Company's ALSTRIP Division in Philadelphia. He reports that oldest son Jim is selling for the North American Steel Company in Cleveland; daughter Sara is in banking; youngesson Steve is a junior at Tulane as a computer science/math major; and wife and mother Mary is working part-time in sales training for Coldwell Banker. Jim manages to operate his own company, Thistle Sports Enterprises, and he and Mary also find time to enjoy weekend golf.

Tom Ruggles '5O has announced the production of a tape of the Thompson Arena Glee Club performance. The 60minute cassette, "Dartmouth Alumni Glee Club June 1986 Reunion Program," is available at $12.50 each (or two for $25.00) by writing to Ron Rose '52, 2642 Massillon Road, Akron, OH 44312. If the tape captures the feeling for the College present during that actual performance, it's a must!

Word has been received of the passing of Timothy Y. Hewlett, Jr. Tim died in Toledo, Ohio, on July 23 of cancer. He is survived by his parents; his wife, Marianne; three daughters; and six grandchildren; as well as his brother, Richard '45. Our sincerest condolences are extended to the entire family.

On another unhappy note, we have learned of the death of Glenn Hartranft on August in Morristown, N.J., after a short illness. Glenn's survivors include two sons, two daughters, a brother, and four grandchildren. Again, our deepest sympathy to his family.
