The Dayton Alumni group has started the fall program with a September Saturday luncheon and a Friday October luncheon. Dayton was well represented in the cheering section at the Dartmouth-Michigan game with at least a third of the Club attending. It was a major task to make hotel reservations, arrangements for parties, and other events over 200 miles away and Dan Mitchell '37 and Latta McCray '37 deserve a Wah Hoo Wah! On November 11, the President of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, Basil O'Connor '12 will be here to address the Ohio County Chapters. Incidentally JackReeder '39 is the Montgomery County Chairman of the Foundation. We are looking forward to a cocktail party and dinner with Mr. O'Connor on that day.
November 18 will find us crowded around the radio after a luncheon with the local Cornell group, rooting for the Big Green. We enjoyed last year's get-together financially and spiritually and hope we see the same good fortune this year.
Dan Mitchell and George Lenning '47 have just finished the Field Economic Mobilization Course taken by 150 civilians and 150 Military officers with instructors from the Armed Force Industrial College. Bob Oelman '31 was the chairman of the Industrial Mobilization Committee that brought this course to Dayton.
The writer became a daddy for the third time October 19, with an eight pounds, seven ounce girl, Katherine Forest Kuhns.
