On my way to Florida I stopped over a couple of hours in New York City. I hoped to have "Dan" Hadlock meet me but he was held at his office, 115 Broadway, by an injured foot that restricts walking. On the telephone he sounded normal.
In Florida I wanted to have Gage travel 200 miles to visit me at Ormond Beach, but he said, "nothing doing." He is -willing to travel only a block or two a day. He hopes to visit Hanover at Commencement.
I received a letter from Mrs. Corwin, of West Tampa. She says that "Carl is feeble but not sick except for palsy. He is up and down all day. Sometimes he goes for a short walk but is very tired when he comes in."
All members of '87 are willing to acknowledge that they have some infirmity.
