Judging from the secretary's correspondence our classmates are all back from southern climes, and all in good health, most of them engaged in such interesting activities as gardening, or the fabrication of useful gadgets, such as become men in retirement from all responsibilities. "Sonny" Gage is not sure he will spend the summer in his old home at Atkinson Depot, N. H. D. Waldo White might be regarded as an exception. He is blessed with an unlimited leave of absence from the New Hampshire public service commission, with a partial compensation. Any time he feels inclined to do a little job or two, he may do so. It is up to him.

The secretary has received a large shipment of the "The Fiftieth Anniversary Book," formerly in the custody of our lamented Sydney Junkins. If any of the class would like additional copies, they have only to inform the secretary. There are a limited number of what has been termed "The Golden Book," in which Dan Hadlock's alumni dinner speech is given in the tinted, oriental antique lettering, which is the matchless work of Classmate Ross. This edition costs $12 a volume. Ask for it and it will be sent promptly.

Our best bit of news comes from our potent class agent, "Dan" Hadlock. While his report is not quite completed, there is enough to indicate that the place the class of '87 has always maintained in gifts to the Alumni Fund will be maintained.

"Dan" writes: "To date '87 has contributed $1904 to the Alumni Fund. That is 521 per cent of our quota, which is $360. Several of the class have not yet been heard from; but more gifts in memory of deceased classmates have been received than in any previous year. For the time being we lead all classes inpercentages of objective, or 'quota.' "

He desires to emphasize no gift is too small, since it is desirable to show that there is a high percentage of givers from our twenty survivors. The memory of fifteen classmates was signalized by gifts from their families.
