This being the last appearance of this column for the columnar year, perhaps one last plea in behalf of the Fund will not be out of order. As you know, 1938 has done relatively poorly over the past few years, both in number of contributors and in the amount they have given. There will be plenty of propaganda coming into your hands during the rest of the campaign from the Class Agents and via the Pace Setter. Why not match the work these volunteer laborers are putting in with a little effort on your part and mail in a substantial donation to a cause the necessity for which you all know? If you want to be coaxed, you will be, but it's much easier if you ship along some bullion without too much coaxing.
This respondent is planning a journey to Hanover on the weekend of the 12 th of May for the Annual Class Officers' Meeting, at which also presumably will be McMurtrie and Mallory and Carson. At that time we shall discuss class affairs, the results of which discussion I shall pass on to you as soon as possible via the Pace Setter; that is, if we decide anything worth mentioning, and there is always the chance we won't.
Just for the record, before inscribing what very little news there is this month, my ad- dress over the summer will be: Star Route, Etna, N. H., and of course visits by 1938's are always welcome if you happen into the North Country for any reason at all.
Missing since December, 1938, at least as faras this department is concerned, "Rip" Streaterwrites from Winona, Minn.,
"I enclose the form indicating my personal history since graduation. I graduated from Michigan Law School in 1941 with a number of other members of our class, among them Tom Antrim,Don Stroud, Rog Trump and Jake Carey. After practicing law about a year here in Winona, I spent about three and a half years as an amateur Dick Tracy for the Army. Since early 1946 I have been practicing law here and have recently formed a partnership.
"About the time I went into the Army I got married and so far we have been blessed with four children, ages six years to two months re- spectively, who keep my wife Louise and me pretty busy.
"I have not run across many Dartmouth men in the past few years, although I do have lunch quite often with Merrill Davis who is with the J. R. Watkins Co., here. Minnesota seems a long way from Hanover these days but the ALUMNI MAGAZINE does keep us pretty well posted."
