DARTMOUTH MENLUNCHEON EVERY MONDAY NOONUNIVERSITY CLUB, CHICAGO

Bob McClory '30 came in second in a field of five running for the Republican nomination for the lower house in Illinois. This places him on the ballot for November where he will be one of four candidates for three positions. Arthur Sprague '24 won in another district for the same position. Bob Coulson '33 came in third in a write-in campaign for the Republican nomination for Congress. As the winner died before the primary election the Republican committeemen could choose him as the official candidate.

Five sons of Alumni were among those selected in the first batch of prospective 1954 freshmen. They and their fathers are: Robert Clements, John Clements '29; William N. Pitney, William F. Pitney '26; John C. Moderwell, H. M. Moderwell '26; Douglas A. Glasgow, R. J. Glasgow '30; and Clark Weymouth Jr., Clark Weymouth '26.

James S. Miller Jr. of Evanston was awarded the Chicago Regional Scholarship.

Dick Pleasants '44 has returned to the Chicago office of Cluett Peabody after two and one-half years in New Orleans.

Dean Herluf V. Olsen '22 of the Tuck School addressed the Association on May 22 on recent developments in the Tuck School and current business conditions.

Dr. Charles E. Cushman '99 has retired and returned to Randolph, Vt.
